Katherine Yeager is a recent graduate of Colorado State University and has received both an undergraduate and graduate degree in vocal performance. She has sung with Colorado State University Opera Theatre, Opera Fort Collins and the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra and also internationally at the Operafestival di Roma in 2004 and 2006. She placed first in the graduate student division in the 2007 regional NATS competition and has also received awards for performance excellence from CSU.

   

    Her most recent roles include Poly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera with Open Stage Theatre and Latetia in The Old Maid and the Thief with Colorado State Opera Theatre in 2007. Other roles include Valencienne in Die Lustige Witwe with Operafestival di Roma, Anne Edgerman in A Little Night Music,  Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow,  Fiordiligi in Cosí fan tutte, Micaëla in Carmen, and Laurie in The Tender Land among others. 


    In addition to performing actively, Katherine has also proven to be a leader among her peers at Colorado State University. In 2003, she founded the Opera Club at CSU. The organization seeks to enhance cultural awareness and enjoyment of opera in northern Colorado. They have performed for many events in the local area and help to raise funds for Colorado State Opera Theatre productions.
